The people are friendly, interesting and well-travelled, the grounds are beautiful and there are more stimulating and satisfying things to do than one can ever do! “We visited a friend at a place like this, and I liked it. So, when we got home, I sat down and added up our expenses—what we were spending then, and what we would be spending if we moved here. And at that time, living in this community actually cost less than what we were already spending.
Once you move here, you feel like, ‘I'm on vacation and doing what I want to do.’ Some people say it's like going on a cruise. I still enjoy everything, like gardening. I'm a plant collector, so I have a little garden. Abbey Delray South is a really friendly place. When you meet people, they always say Hi.

“My wife and I have lived in Abbey Delray South in Delray Beach, Florida, a life care community, for 18 years. We can honestly say it was the best decision we have ever made.
Our two-bedroom, two-bath apartment overlooking a small lake and wonderfully maintained grounds provides a lifestyle filled with close friendships, dedicated personal care, and a sense of security.
What made us choose this community was the welcoming residents who created that intangible feeling of belonging right from the day we moved in.
There is much to do if you want to or not, and opportunities abound for social and intellectual experiences. All contribute to our happier and healthier life.”

Everything is included

“The staff is wonderful and friendly. Part of the reason we came here is that, when we were looking, the residents were friendly and offered to answer questions.
We have lovely grounds. My husband and I have a free-standing villa and drive around the grounds in our golf cart. Many people have dogs and it’s a great place to walk them. Outside, there’s bocce, shuffleboard, and a pretty putting green.
Inside, we have pickleball, a library, and many good exercise classes. We have many amenities that many places don’t have. A five-star health center. Entertainment many night. Did I mention there are lots of things for the men?
Everything is included. Weekly housekeeping, linens sent out weekly.
And as I said, best of all—the other residents.”

Warm and inviting, like family

“I have been a resident of Abbey Delray South for almost 2 years. I find it warm and inviting, and the residents are like family, who watch out for each other, especially for those who, like me, have no biological family nearby.
There are multiple activities, lectures, and religious services for all different interests and abilities. The grounds and walking path are nature-loving and can be viewed from every apartment window. I would recommend ADS very highly.”
