Update as of June1, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST

We want to provide an update on COVID-19 and its impact within our Abbey Delray South community. Late last week, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, we tested all team members and residents in our Health Center. We began receiving test results over the weekend and learned on Monday, June 1, that two residents and five team members from our Health Center tested positive for the virus. By way of recap, we have a total of three active Health Center resident cases of the virus and seven total team member cases of the virus. All three residents with COVID-19 are being cared for in isolation in our Abbey Delray South Health Center and most remain asymptomatic. Our team members are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.

Additional test results are pending, and we will provide updates as we receive more information. We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

As a reminder, Lifespace and Abbey Delray South are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, and proper hand hygiene. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.

Please contact your Abbey Delray South management team with questions and concerns.

Thank you for your continued support.
