As part of our Health Center testing late last week, today we received additional COVID-19 resident and team member test results. While the majority of test results have been negative, as of Tuesday, June 2, we have five total Health Center resident cases of the virus. Four of our residents are being cared for in the Health Center and one is being cared for in the hospital.
We received no new team member positive results. By way of recap, we have seven team member cases of COVID-19. Our team members are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.
Additional test results are pending, and we will provide updates as we receive more information. We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.
As a reminder, Lifespace and Abbey Delray South are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, and proper hand hygiene. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
