Update as of July 1, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST

We wanted to provide you with an update on COVID-19 within our Abbey Delray South community. We learned on Tuesday, June 30, that one Health Center resident tested positive for the virus. By way of recap, we have five total active resident cases of COVID-19. Two residents are receiving treatment in our COVID-19 special care area in the Health Center, and three are being cared for in the hospital.

We currently have five total active team member cases of the virus, and our team members are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.

We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

As a reminder, Lifespace and Abbey Delray South are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, and proper hand hygiene. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.

Please contact your Abbey Delray South management team with questions and concerns.

Thank you for your continued support.
