Update as of July 22, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST

We want to provide an update on COVID-19 within our Abbey Delray South community. We learned Wednesday, July 22, that one team member tested positive for the virus, they are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team. By way of recap, we have one total active team member case of the virus. All team members who previously tested positive for the virus have been cleared and returned to work.

There are no active resident cases of COVID-19 in our community at this time.

We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

As a reminder, Lifespace and Abbey Delray South are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, and please remember to wear a mask or face covering when you are leaving our community to interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of infection. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Abbey Delray South management team.
